Shotgun Hostel sits in Vuno overlooking the Ionian Sea. We have lovingly renovated an old house in the village to provide a refuge for travellers along the otherwise busy Albanian Riviera. You will feel at home staying at our place and have the opportunity to see what life is like in this beautiful Mediterranean village.

Vuno is a village paused in time. You will encounter donkeys in the streets and shepherds walking with their livestock in the mountain and through the olive groves. There are still only a few cafes in the village, and there you can meet the local community and share a coffee or homemade raki with them. Our accommodation is a 3 minute walk up from the center.

Vuno is in the middle of the riviera abundant with nature. Nestled between Jale Beach to the south, with the small Guma and Aquarium coves, and wild, pristine Gjipe Canyon to the north, we are truly surrounded by the best beaches in all of Albania.

GUIDED GJIPE CANYON HIKING TRAIL
ALL DAY EXPERIENCE
DEPART FROM VUNO, WALK THROUGH THE OLIVE GROVES AND FOREST TO DESCENT DOWN ONE SIDE OF THE CANYON. THIS HIKE TAKES 1.5-2 HOURS.
SPEND THE DAY IN GJIPE, ENJOY THE BEACH, SNORKEL ALONG THE CAVES, EXPLORE INTO THE CANYON.
WALK BACK UP ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CANYON, WITH VIEWS FROM THE TOP DOWN. THIS HIKE WILL TAKE BETWEEN 45 MINUTES-1 HOUR.
GET PICKED UP BY CAR AT THE END OF THE TRAIL AND DRIVE BACK TO VUNO.

A really atypical hostel I truly enjoyed for a day and would definitely recommend for a bit longer ! The house is beautifully restored and very welcoming. The terrace easily engages anyone to sit around and it feels like home. Bree and Adrian made this place truly unique, and it seems to attract really great and interesting people to meet there too, like a little refuge to escape the loud and busy Riviera . That was a short stop but my favourite hostel in Albania ! ☺️ The village of Vuno is also really nice to just walk around

Lovely village home with comfy rooms and delicious breakfast available to order the night before! The owners are wonderful and offer the cheapest boat tour around to beautiful caves and coves! I loved everything

One of the best hostels I have been to - and I have been to 100+ The owner, Bree, is a cool young American woman. She is always helpful and smiles pretty much all the time. The dorms are big and not filled up with too many beds. The beds are comfortable. The centerpiece of this hostel is the large patio. Great views over the sea and the place to get to know the other guests. The village is very old, with walking paths only.. Make sure to have a walk around. The breakfast is much better than a typical hostel breakfast. Wifi is reliable. You will know why this place has a high rating when you get there. I hope to be back some day!
